Community Growing: Strengthening Your District Through Positive Social Media

Oregon’s Cascade School District 5 has experienced a growth in fundraising support, median home prices as more families are moving to be in the district and an increase in camaraderie across the community. How did they do it? Actively engaging and staying alert on social media.

With over 15 years of experience in media, Madeline Sattler prides herself as a passionate storyteller. Her background in journalism and local news media has been a large contributor to helping her stay on top of the newest trends to help inform and unite her community. She put those skills to work when she officially joined Cascade School District No.5 in Oregon in 2018. She has since seen tremendous growth and success in using social media to help the district tell their story and strengthen the community.
