Strategic Communications Manager Ken Brown will share a brief history of Charlotte’s social media and will highlight some of the city’s more light hearted moments online. He will then discuss the more serious topic of last summer’s officer involved shooting and the ensuing riots, and how the city’s open archive of their social media records played a role in the aftermath.
